Preliminary task

For my Preliminary task for my foundation portfolio I have to create my own school magazine.



My challenge is to plan and create the front cover and contents page of a school magazine, using all of the different media codes and conventions to do it. It's going to be fairly difficult but I am looking forward to the work, I will put into my magazine to make it realistic and interesting. Similarly I am also slightly nervous with the dead line and the inclusions that will have to match my genre. I will have to also research to the type of audiences it will target and what types of articles will target the different audiences. It may be tricky to get it right because it will not only target the younger audience of students who would attend the school and the parents of the students also, who each like to read different types of information.

My first research task would be the types of articles, pictures and content that will be relevant and adhere to the codes and conventions of magazines. While considering who my magazine will therefore target.
