I have gotten the majority of my necessary research done for my school magazine now. As you can see I have annotated miscellaneous school magazines in depth and written about the overall codes and conventions of school magazines. Now I am creating flat plans for my own school magazine, trying my best to improve on my ideas as I go along, which is a little difficult, while trying to consider my target audience at the same time. One of the big decisions that I have to contemplate is that of the name of my magazine. I have made a list of possible names, I got these ideas consulting others for opinions and looking at certain words in a thesaurus to give me some more ideas. I think that some of the certain names are very catchy and clever but I was unsure as to which ones would be the most effective for the title of a school magazine, so I felt that the best way for me to collect the information I needed was to ask people for their opinions. Therefore, I asked a group of males and females for them to tick which names they liked. This is a large part of my audience research needed to make sure the magazine would interest the appropriate audience. This has helped me very much, to deduct the better names in comparison to those which weren’t as popular. I am very pleased about the responses which I have received as I happen to agree that the chosen name was one that could be thought of as trivial and can definitely be connected with school. I have demonstrated my results in a table and dual bar chart as seen on this blog.
